Who am I?

I’m Danielle, I’m 26 and I’m pretty much learning how to deal with that; getting older (and getting healthier). I’m originally from Boston but moved out to Seattle almost 6 years ago. I totally became a stereotype and worked as a barista for 4 1/2 years, so I guess you could say I make a mean cappuccino (no, seriously, I’m amazing at making beautiful foam, I’ll toot my own horn on that one.)

After graduating from the University of Washington, where I majored in English Literature, I now work in the financial industry and no, I have no idea how the hell I got here. My true passion is writing (any chance I get to use my writing skills at work I will take in a hot second) and I’m a total people person. I’m a kid at heart, a video game nerd, married to my best friend of over 8 years, and I love my 2 dogs more than anything in the world.

This blog is about my life, my new dedication to getting healthier, and learning how to have fun while growing up. You’ll probably see posts about my weight loss, my quest to be healthier, my funny attempts at exercising, my wedding, marriage in general, my life through photos, my ridiculous dogs, the trips Matt and I take, my love for video games (yeah I realize I’m a full-fledge dork), our house, and pretty much anything else you can think of. It’s my outlet for creative writing and who knows, maybe one day I’ll even get to do what I love for a living.

But for now, what you see is what you get… It’s my hope that my blog can at least give you a little smile. 🙂

  1. Glad you have blogging as an outlet for writing 🙂
Is there anything else you participate in, writing-wise?
